Mikalene began singing at a very young age, and first started performing with bands as a pre-teen. Mikalene moved to Nashville in her teen years and worked with the Artist Development Network doing work as a demo singer for hit songwriter, Don Goodman, most famous for his hit song “Angels Among Us.”

Mikalene has over fifteen years of professional performing experience under her boots, having performed all over the Western United States, both as a solo artist, and with various bands at events including; county fairs, festivals, corporate events, elegant galas, community celebrations, intimate private events and concerts.

Mikalene has opened concerts for several outstanding performers - her favorite being country superstar, Jo Dee Messina. She currently has two albums of original songs available for purchase, here on her website, or on iTunes and Amazon. Mikalene's busy working on her third release - an original soundtrack for a world release of a feature-length documentary film.
She plays guitar and piano and found her love of writing her own songs while in Nashville. Mikalene has been commissioned to write numerous songs and jingles for many individuals, companies and brands. She has won many singing competitions and awards, including The Colgate Country Showdown - (Southern Utah); Hawk Idol, The 99.9 Kony Country Showcase, SUSWA Songwriting Contest; Talent Quest International Karaoke Contest (1st Place Country Female) and more.
Mikalene loves writing music; writing songs and performing - but there's no question about it, her greatest love is her love for The Savior, and her family. Her husband, Brett, was her first love. Through all their years of marriage and the birth of their two children, their love endures. Brett supports her passion for music, not just by being there, but by touring with her, serving as an outstanding sound engineer, doing photo shoots, and even filming music videos.
As partners in life and in love, they serve as a great inspiration - as a couple, as business partners and as parents. Currently, Mikalene and Brett reside in Southern Utah with their two young children.
